Cancellation Policy for Payments with Scalapay

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR CUSTOMERS USING SCALAPAY AS PAYMENT METHOD

The cancellation policy applies only to the amount corresponding to the required deposit (i.e., 20% of the total stay).


In case of cancellation of the booking due to personal reasons (health or family) that can be documented, the following rules will apply to the deposit paid:

  • If the booking is cancelled up to 45 days before arrival at the hotel, 90% of the deposit* will be refunded;
  • If the booking is cancelled from 44 to 20 days before arrival at the hotel, 50% of the deposit* will be refunded;
  • If the booking is cancelled from 19 to 8 days before arrival at the hotel, 30% of the deposit* will be refunded;

*The deposit will only be refunded if the cancellation is due to serious health reasons or significant family matters, such as bereavement, and properly supported by appropriate documentation (e.g., medical certificate). Alternatively, the guest may choose to use the entire deposit toward another stay of equal duration during the same season. Otherwise, the deposit will be proportionally applied. The period and the hotel are at the discretion of the Management of Club Costa Vacanze Hotels.

For any reason, if the booking is cancelled from 7 to 0 days before arrival at the hotel, the deposit will not be refunded nor applied to future stays under any circumstances.

The refund amount is deducted from your installments starting from the last one:

  • If the installments have not yet been paid, they are reduced or cancelled.

If you have already paid them, the refund (partial or total) is automatically applied to the card used for the purchase.

Examples

Example 1 – Only the first installment has been paid

You choose to pay a €300 deposit in 3 installments. You cancel for documented health reasons 30 days before arrival and are entitled to a 50% refund (€150). You have only paid the first installment:

  • Installment n°3 of €100 has not yet been paid, so it is cancelled.
  • Installment n°2 of €100 has not yet been paid, so it is reduced by €50 and becomes €50.
  • Installment n°1 of €100 has been paid and is not modified.

In this case, you do not receive any refund since the amount eligible for refund has not yet been paid. You only need to pay the remaining amount (€50).

Example 2 – First and second installments have been paid

You choose to pay a €300 deposit in 3 installments. You cancel for documented health reasons 30 days before arrival and are entitled to a 50% refund (€150). You have paid the first and second installments:

  • Installment n°3 of €100 has not yet been paid, so it is cancelled.
  • Installment n°2 of €100 has been paid, so you receive a €50 refund on your card.
  • Installment n°1 of €100 has been paid and is not modified.

Only the deposit is subject to the cancellation conditions provided in the cancellation policy.

Therefore, if the total stay or the balance of the stay is paid with Scalapay:

  • 80% of the total stay indicated in the booking confirmation will be fully refundable.
  • The refund (full or partial) or non-refund of the amount corresponding to 20% of the total stay (i.e., the deposit) will follow the cancellation policy rules outlined above.
